THE LODGE AND THE VALLEY

On our slopes many highlanders and tourists have learned to ski: from the 1970s until the mid-1990s the easy slopes of Val Formica and the magnificent slopes of Cima Larici were the favourite destination for beginners and experienced skiers.
After the closure of the lifts, Val Formica and its characteristic lodge were forgotten about for a very long time. That was until 2011, when the lodge undertook a complete renovation, and the revival project began, and with it, the promise of making the valley alive again.

growing demand led to an expansion of the lodge premises with the extension of the restaurant.
2018 witnessed the enrichment of the ski area with “Larici Park”, a park equipped for snowboarding and freestyle. In the future there is the goal of building a new chairlift to replace the old ski lift and reopen the “piston” making the dream come true of those who lived the magic of the “Larici” in the 1980s with the restoration of the “Cima Larici” slope, considered the most beautiful on the Plateau!
Another ambitious project came to fruition in 2022, with the opening of the Luxury Resort: 11 beautifully designed boutique rooms and suites, made for an exclusive stay at high altitude.

Not only made for the snow, skiing, or meadows: our mountain is alive all year round and changes it’s colours according to the seasons. In the summer you can go for walks, hikes, treks or excursions on both easy or more difficult paths, and also by moutain or electric bike. In the winter you can have lots of fun sking, snowboarding, sledging or walking with the snowshoes. For the kids, there are large equipped spaces, and a park for both the summer and winter use. The valley and its surroundings allows you to admire the starry night sky which is something you’ll never forget. With a rich calendar year of events offered by “Asiago” and the other 7 nearby towns, means that various cultural and recreational fun events are also arranged and enjoyed here at Val Formica.

HAVE FUN ON THE SNOW.
Four Blue slopes and one Snow Park. New and fast lifts. The Ski Area Val Formica is ideal for both children and adult beginners, as well as for those looking to be in close contact with the snowy environment in a fantastic and spectacular landscape. The possibility of ski instructors from the Val Formica Ski School, rental with all ski equipment, snowboard, snowshoes and sledges are all available here. And for the adrenaline lovers, there is the Larici Park, with snow jumps, and a comfortable chairlift ride for the slighter higher slopes.
HOW TO GET TO VAL FORMICA
CIMA LARICI.
Val Formica is located in the upper mountain of the Asiago plateau seven municipalities (Vicenza) at an altitude of 1653 meters. From Asiago, capital of the plateau, you arrive in about 20 minutes by car along the provincial road 349 towards Vezzena – Trento turning at the crossroads for Larici – Val Formica. The road is completely paved. For the winter season please make sure winter tires or chains are fixed on your wheels (during snowy conditions) as a requirement by law.
